On Grizzly Man

Grizzly Man was a very interesting document. To me Timothy Treadwell began his life as sort of a troubled man. The things he exceeded at such as diving and acting went sour for him. He began drinking and ended up having a life threatening overdose. I believe he then had a epiphany. Animals and bears became an inspiration for him. He feed off their energy. Treadwell believed he had a connection with the animals he met. He believed they were his friends. They made no judgments about him. Although Tim may have crossed a line in animal territory I think he took some glorious footage and helped us learn alot about the true life and struggle of bears. Herzog has a slightly different view than treadwell. I believe Herzog enjoyed the footage Treadwell was able to give him but i dont believe all his views were all the same. He saw the line that Timothy crossed and realized that maybe he shouldnt have gone that far, or gotten that close to the animals to say that he loved them. Animals are predators, some die, and some survive. Timothy seemed to ignore that fact. All in all I enjoyed the film and learned alot about the life a bear lives. I also learned that they can be observed, but you should not try to change or affect their natural setting. You must only watch and observe from a distance.
