On Grizzly Man

The documentary Grizzly Man was thought provoking to say the least. Watching Timothy Treadwell's relationship with non-human animals was interesting, as well as frustrating to watch. He loved bears so much that he decided to camp in their home and communicate with them. I like that he had such a passion for the bears, but I think he took his appreciation too far. He seemed to have this warped impression that he was their savior trying to restore their world back to harmonic times.Unfortunately in the animal world life is about survival. Survival includes fighting, killing, and eating of other animals and which did not fit into Treadwell ideal environment. Treadwell was definitely too much of an extreme, but he had the right idea when he took the time to truly care and try to understand animals. Treadwell did a good job arousing the public's interest in wild life.
